RFX GATEWAY: Charging, Battery Life & Cable Compatibility

Summary: The RFX GATEWAY has a 24-hour internal battery and charges best with the included 5V USB-A to USB-C cable. Important: It is not compatible with modern USB-C to USB-C (PD) fast chargers.

Cable Compatibility Warning

⚠️ Do Not Use "C-to-C" Cables

The RFX GATEWAY charging port is not compatible with high-speed USB Power Delivery (PD) cables. 

You Must Use: 
A standard USB-A to USB-C cable (like the one included in the box). 
If you plug in a C-to-C cable from a laptop or modern phone charger, the device will simply refuse to charge.

Charging Times & Power Sources

You can leave the Gateway plugged in permanently or run it off the internal battery.

Battery Life (Unplugged)

• Runtime: Approximately 24 Hours on a full charge.
• Billows Usage: The internal battery cannot run the Billows fan. You must have external 12V power connected to operate Billows.
