Why is the RFX GATEWAY Light Off While Charging?

Summary: It is normal for the RFX GATEWAY LED to remain off while charging. This is an intentional design choice. To verify that the device is actually charging, you must look at the battery section inside the App.

Intentional Design Behavior

Many customers expect an LED light to turn on when they plug in a device. However:

• The Behavior: The physical LED light on the RFX GATEWAY is not designed to illuminate solely to indicate "charging status."
• Why? The LED is primarily reserved for connection status (Green = Connected, Red = Disconnected) to avoid confusion.

How to Confirm It Is Charging

Since the physical light won't tell you, use the App:

1. Open App: Go to the Device Dashboard.
2. Check Status: Look at the battery section for the RFX GATEWAY.
   • If the status says "Charging" or shows a lightning bolt icon, the device is receiving power and working correctly.
