Summary: If an RFX MEAT probe physically breaks or separates during a cook, we need to gather specific safety details (immersion depth, cooking method).
Step 1: Recovery
Before troubleshooting, please confirm the physical status of the device.
- Component Recovery: Were you able to recover all pieces of the probe from the food/grill?
Step 2: Cooking Context
To process a replacement or warranty claim, please provide the following details about the cook where the failure occurred:
- Immersion Depth: Which of the immersion lines did you use when inserting the probe into the food
- Cooking Method: What style of cooking was used?
- Examples: Direct Flame Grilling (Searing), Indirect/Two-Zone, Low & Slow Smoking, Deep Frying, Air Frying.
- Temperature & Food: What was the target cooker temperature, and what meat was being cooked? (e.g., "Grilling steaks at 500°F" vs "Smoking Brisket at 225°F").
Step 3: Submit for Review
Once you have gathered the cooking details, please provide as many details to our support team to help determine the next best steps.
