How to Use Bluetooth Devices with Checklists

Summary: ThermoWorks Bluetooth devices integrate directly with the Checklists feature to wirelessly beam temperature readings into your forms. Important: Unlike Wi-Fi thermometers (Signals, Smoke X), you do not add these devices to the main app dashboard. They only connect inside the active checklist view.

Compatible Devices

The following Bluetooth-enabled devices are designed to work with ThermoWorks Cloud Checklists:

• Thermapen Blue
• Thermapen IR Blue
• TempTest 1 & 2 Blue
• DishTemp Blue
• RayTemp Blue
• Therma K Blue

Critical Setup Note

Do not try to "Add Device" from the main screen.

• These Bluetooth probes are considered "Input Tools," not constant monitoring stations.
• If you try to add them via the main "Devices" tab in the ThermoWorks App, the setup will fail or the device will not appear.
• Correct Method: You must be inside an active Checklist to pair the tool.

How to Use the Device in a Checklist

Follow these steps to capture temperatures wirelessly:

1. Open the App: Navigate to the Checklists tab in the ThermoWorks mobile app.
2. Start a Check: Select the specific checklist you want to perform (e.g., "Line Check").
3. Initiate Pairing: Inside the checklist view, look for the "Add Device" or Bluetooth icon
4. Turn On Probe: Ensure your Bluetooth device is turned on.
5. Select: Tap the name/serial number of your device when it appears in the pop-up list.
6. Capture: Now, whenever you take a reading with the probe, the temperature will automatically populate the checklist field.
